Mid-Summer Wrap-up: RallyCross and Discover Ontario:
This summer has delivered an absolute feast of grassroots motorsport in Ontario, starting off at KWRC Rallycross #3 on July 11th. It was a packed house with 33 entries, where changing track conditions kept everyone guessing; organizer Mark Gonsalves had to make last-minute layout tweaks to dodge standing water from pre-event rains, but as the sun came out, the surface packed down into a hard, fast groove. I had the absolute pleasure of driving Gord Olmstead’s Mazda3, alternating seat time as driver and passenger to swap feedback, shave down lap times, and soak in a fantastic day—a huge thanks to Gord for the seat time!
