KWRC Rallycross #4: Heat, Dust, and Fierce Competition!
The Kitchener Waterloo Rally Club (KWRC) hosted its fourth rallycross event of the season on August 16th, and it was a scorcher! Despite the extreme heat and dry conditions, 25 dedicated competitors came out to battle it out on the dirt. The rallycross track was reported to be in excellent condition, holding up remarkably well through all five competitive runs.
The combination of aggressive driving and a rapid pace meant that the cars were throwing up significant amounts of dust.
While a light breeze offered some respite, it did little to alleviate the efforts of the hard-working volunteers who ensured the event ran safely and smoothly.

A special mention goes to Storme Wroblewski, who was setting some incredibly fast lap times early in the day. Unfortunately, Brandon spun in the chicane on the back straight resulting in damage to their vehicle, preventing them from finishing the event in their own car. However, demonstrating true rallycross spirit, Storme returned to complete the final two runs behind the wheel of Tyler Stewart's '91 BMW 325i. Tyler and Storme even shared some exciting in-car footage of this unexpected driver swap on Instagram and Facebook.
And now, here are some exciting photos from the event!

Also before you go, here's some more action shot by Vitalii Kobliakov.
